What LuxAlgo Does Well

Let's start fair. LuxAlgo has published more free, open-source indicators on TradingView than almost anyone, and plenty of traders learned what a fair value gap or a liquidity sweep looks like from one of them. Their live-chat support gets named and thanked in reviews, which almost never happens in this industry. And in 2026 they stopped being "just an indicator pack": LuxAlgo now runs its own charting platform, Vela, with order flow on every plan and an AI agent called Quant that writes and backtests strategy code.

So this isn't one of those "LuxAlgo is a scam" posts. The flagship toolkits (Signals & Overlays, Price Action Concepts, Oscillator Matrix) are polished. The question is whether you need to keep paying for them, and what else does the same jobs.

Why Traders Look for LuxAlgo Alternatives

From reviews and the forums I read, it comes down to four things:

What You're Actually Paying LuxAlgo For

The easiest way to shop for a replacement is to split LuxAlgo into its parts and replace each part on its own. Most people only use two of these.

The 7 Best LuxAlgo Alternatives, Ranked

1. ChartingLens - Signals, SMC and Backtesting Without a Second Subscription

ChartingLens
Free planPremium $14.99/mo

Screenshot: ChartingLens AI assistant drawing six support and resistance levels on NVDA (daily, 3 months), October 2026.

ChartingLens is a well-established AI charting platform with a large active user base, advanced features, an institutional-grade strategy builder, and an institutional-grade backtesting engine. What makes it the best LuxAlgo replacement is that it covers the parts people actually use, signals and smart money tools, inside its own charting platform, so there's no indicator pack bolted onto someone else's charts and no second bill.

Signals first. Its AI Buy Signals rank the top 25 momentum stocks from a daily scan of 2,000+ names, and each one shows an entry confidence score and its historical win rate, which is more than most signal products tell you. Crypto and forex signals come from written-down strategies (a 20-day-high breakout for crypto, a Bollinger pullback for forex) with the stop, target and max hold stated, and their full backtests are reproducible in the platform. That's the transparency I wish more signal vendors offered.

For the Price Action Concepts crowd: liquidity sweep indicators are built in, and the AI assistant builds structure tools (BOS and CHoCH, fair value gaps, order blocks) on request. You can also paste Pine Script into the chat and it converts it into a native indicator, which means many open-source community scripts come along, license permitting. Ask it where the key levels are and it reads the chart and draws them, as in the screenshot above.

Then the testing side LuxAlgo charges extra for: an institutional-grade strategy builder that takes rules in plain English, and an institutional-grade backtesting engine with win rate, profit factor, drawdown, trade logs and Monte Carlo tests. It sits on a large built-in indicator library and comprehensive multi-asset coverage (stocks, crypto, forex, metals, futures charting). It's broker-agnostic with no platform lock-in, battle-tested at scale by a large active trader community whose feedback shapes the roadmap, and the mature AI-first feature set is backed by extensive documentation and built-in courses.

What it does well
  • Well-established platform with a large active user base
  • Signals that show confidence and historical win rate
  • Institutional-grade strategy builder in plain English
  • Institutional-grade backtesting engine
  • Converts Pine Script and ThinkScript
Where it falls short
  • The full 25 signals, crypto/forex signals and script conversion are on Premium
  • Free plan gets 1 AI question a day
  • SMC structure tools are built by the AI on request rather than shipped as one packaged toolkit
  • Analysis only; you place orders at your own broker
Best for:LuxAlgo users who want signals, smart money tools, AI analysis and backtesting on one platform for less.

2. TrendSpider - Automation That Does the Drawing

TrendSpider
From ~$50/mo promo
TrendSpider automated technical analysis platform homepage
Screenshot: TrendSpider homepage, October 2026.

If what you liked about LuxAlgo was the chart doing some of the work for you, TrendSpider takes that further than anyone. Automated trendlines, automatic Fibonacci, chart pattern recognition, no-code backtesting on every plan, AI strategy analysis and trading bots. It's a standalone platform, so no TradingView needed.

It gets expensive. Standard lists at $82 a month, with first-term promos around $50, and the higher tiers go well past $100. The Sidekick AI assistant includes only 25 messages a month before paid add-ons. And there's a learning curve; the interface is dense.

Strengths
  • Best automated trendline and pattern detection
  • Backtesting and bots on every plan
  • No TradingView dependency
What bugs me
  • Renews well above the promo price
  • Small AI message allowance
  • Steep learning curve
Best for:Active traders who want automated technical analysis and are fine paying for it.

3. AlgoAlpha - The Most Direct Swap

AlgoAlpha
From $28.72/mo yearly
AlgoAlpha TradingView indicators homepage
Screenshot: AlgoAlpha homepage, October 2026.

AlgoAlpha is the closest thing to LuxAlgo in shape: premium TradingView indicators (a Smart Signals Assistant, Momentum Concepts, and ILPAC for liquidity and price action) plus a no-code strategy builder and an AI tool for searching and backtesting strategies. Their free TradingView scripts are popular too.

The Indicators plan is $344.64 a year, cheaper than LuxAlgo Premium. The catches: no free trial, no refunds on unused time or AI credits, and the automated signal service is crypto on Bybit only. You still need TradingView underneath.

What it does well
  • Like-for-like toolkit for LuxAlgo users
  • Cheaper on yearly billing
  • Popular free scripts
The catch
  • No trial, no refunds
  • Still requires TradingView
  • Signals service is crypto-only
Best for:Traders who want to stay on TradingView and just swap the indicator vendor.

4. Zeiierman - Smart Money Concepts on the Free TradingView Plan

Zeiierman
$37.99/mo yearly
Zeiierman premium TradingView indicators homepage
Screenshot: Zeiierman homepage, October 2026.

Zeiierman sells a smart money concepts indicator, nine buy/sell algos, liquidity signals and a couple of strategy bots, with 80+ premium indicators in total. One genuinely useful detail: they say it works on TradingView's free plan.

Month to month it's pricey at $95.20, dropping to $37.99 a month on a yearly plan. There's no AI assistant and I couldn't find independent performance data, which is true of most vendors here.

Good
  • Strong SMC focus
  • Works on TradingView's free plan
Not so good
  • Expensive monthly
  • No independent performance data
Best for:Smart money concepts traders who want a packaged toolkit on TradingView.

5. TradingView Community Scripts - The Free Route

TradingView Community Scripts
Free
TradingView community indicators and strategies library
Screenshot: TradingView community scripts library, October 2026.

The honest budget answer: LuxAlgo's own free scripts, AlgoAlpha's free scripts and thousands of others are sitting in TradingView's public library, many open source. For a lot of traders that's enough.

Quality is all over the place, repainting varies script to script, and the free Basic plan caps you at two indicators per chart, which is tight once you start stacking. Paid TradingView starts at $12.95 a month billed yearly.

Why it works
  • Free
  • Open source, so you can read the logic
Why it doesn't always
  • Uneven quality
  • Two-indicator cap on the free plan
Best for:Budget traders willing to vet scripts themselves.

6. Trade Ideas - AI Scanning for US Day Traders

Trade Ideas
$127/mo
Trade Ideas AI stock scanning platform homepage
Screenshot: Trade Ideas homepage, October 2026.

Different animal. Trade Ideas is a real-time scanner for US stocks, and its Premium plan adds backtesting, AI signals, auto trading and risk levels. If you used LuxAlgo signals mainly to find intraday stock setups, this is the professional version of that job.

It's the most expensive option here ($127 a month Standard, $254 Premium), it's US equities only, and there's nothing like smart money overlays.

What it does well
  • Fast real-time scanning
  • Broker integrations for execution
Where it falls short
  • Expensive
  • US stocks only
  • No SMC or overlay toolkits
Best for:Active US day traders.

7. Market Cipher - The Crypto Oscillator Dashboard

Market Cipher
$120 per 3 months
Market Cipher trading indicators homepage
Screenshot: Market Cipher homepage, October 2026.

Four invite-only TradingView indicators (A, B, SR and DBSI), mostly loved by crypto traders, and the closest thing to LuxAlgo's Oscillator Matrix. $120 for three months or $600 a year.

No backtesting, no AI, and a free open-source clone of Cipher B (VuManChu) does much of the same job. A lot of the online praise comes through its affiliate program, so weigh reviews accordingly.

What it does well
  • Popular oscillator dashboard
  • Active community
How it burns you
  • No backtesting or AI
  • Free clone exists
Best for:Crypto swing traders who live on oscillators.

How to Check Any Signal Indicator for Repainting

Whichever product you pick, do this once before you trust its arrows. It takes ten minutes.

  1. Open a 5-minute chart and turn on bar replay (most platforms on this list have it).
  2. Step forward one bar at a time and screenshot every signal the moment it appears.
  3. Turn replay off and compare against the history. Any arrow that moved, vanished or appeared earlier than it did live is repainting.
  4. Check the backtest assumptions too. Signals that fire on the close but fill on that same close are a quieter version of the same problem.

When to Stay With LuxAlgo

Stay if you actively use two or more of the flagship toolkits every day and you're already settled on TradingView. Stay if you want order flow at no cost, because Vela's free plan includes it. And if the AI coding side (Quant) is what you use most, LuxAlgo's higher tiers are reasonably priced against the alternatives.

The Honest Take

LuxAlgo is good at what it does, and its free scripts are a gift to the community. The case for leaving is mostly about paying twice: once for the toolkit and once for the platform underneath it. If you want to keep the TradingView workflow, AlgoAlpha and Zeiierman are straight swaps. If automation is your thing, TrendSpider. If you want signals, smart money tools and backtesting in one place without a second subscription, the #1 pick above is the one I'd try first.

Is there a free LuxAlgo alternative?+
